Insta360 Announces Co-Branded Edition, Arriving May 14

On April 30, Insta360 officially announced that the Insta360 GO Ultra x Hello Kitty limited edition will be officially launched on May 14 at 20:00. This co-branded product combines the adorable elements of the classic Japanese IP Hello Kitty with Insta360's high-performance pocket camera GO Ultra, and is expected to attract a large number of young users seeking both personalization and high image quality.

GO Ultra: Imaging Power Packed into a 53g Cube

The Insta360 GO Ultra pocket camera was first released in 2025 at a price of 2,598 RMB. Weighing just 53g, its compact cube-shaped body stands out in the action camera market. Despite its small size, the device features a brand-new 1/1.28-inch large sensor paired with a 5nm AI chip, delivering 4K60fps video recording capability, along with 4K 2x lossless zoom and 4K Action HDR video recording.

In terms of usability, the GO Ultra comes standard with a magnetic easy clip and an angle-adjustable magnetic lanyard. Users simply attach the camera magnetically to a collar, hat brim, or backpack to go hands-free — no need to constantly watch a phone or camera viewfinder — truly achieving a "wear it and shoot, record anytime" experience.

AI-Powered Professional-Grade Features

Powered by the computing capabilities of the 5nm AI chip, the GO Ultra features built-in intelligent wind noise reduction and smart voice enhancement among multiple audio modes, effectively improving audio capture quality during outdoor shooting. For image stabilization, the device supports FlowState stabilization technology and 360° horizon leveling, delivering smooth and stable footage even during intense action scenarios.

Additionally, the GO Ultra is equipped with a 2.5-inch flip touchscreen, allowing users to frame shots and review footage in real time. For storage, it supports swappable SD cards, addressing the common storage anxiety associated with action cameras.

Impressive Battery Life and Waterproofing

In terms of battery life, the GO Ultra combined with the expansion hub delivers up to 200 minutes at 1080p and 170 minutes at 4K. When using the camera alone, battery life is approximately 70 minutes at 1080p and 60 minutes at 4K, meeting the needs of daily vlogging and short outdoor shooting sessions.

For waterproofing, the expansion hub meets the IPX4 water resistance standard, while the standalone camera supports 10-meter waterproofing, making it suitable for swimming, snorkeling, and other water activities.

Co-Branding Strategy Targets the Youth Market

Insta360's decision to collaborate with Sanrio's iconic IP Hello Kitty is clearly aimed at expanding its reach among younger consumers and female users through trendy, personalized design while maintaining the product's hardcore performance. In recent years, collaborations between tech products and well-known IPs have become an industry trend — from earbuds to smartwatches, co-branded editions often generate higher visibility and buzz on social media.

Insta360 has not yet revealed the specific pricing or bundle contents of the co-branded limited edition. Given that the standard GO Ultra is priced at 2,598 RMB, the co-branded version is expected to carry a premium. Interested users can tune in to the official launch at 8 PM on May 14, when more details will be revealed.
